Booster eligibility extended to those 18 and older
As of Monday, December 20 at 8:00am individuals aged 18 and over are eligible to schedule their booster dose appointment through the COVID-19 vaccination portal, by calling the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre, through Indigenous-led vaccination clinics, select pharmacies and primary care settings. Appointments will be booked for approximately six months (168 days) after a second dose.
Vaccine bookings for 5-11-year-old's
The provincial booking site is open to children in the 5-11 age group. Families can also book at participating pharmacies, and select primary care providers. Parents can also call the Provincial Vaccine Booking Line at 1-833-943-3900.
To book an appointment online, children must be turning five years old by the end of 2021 (born in 2016).
Children aged five to 11 (and turning age five in 2021) will receive the paediatric Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine which is a slightly modified, lower dose (one-third the amount given to individuals aged 12 and over), in a two-dose series at a recommended interval of eight weeks between first and second doses.
