ANTI-SCAB LEGISLATION

A PLEDGE OF SUPPORT FOR WORKERS

Replacement workers - or scab labour - should not be allowed in Ontario - it undermines the power of workers' and prolongs labour disputes.

During the first week of September, I stood on the picket line with striking @Unifor cleaners who are trying to get a 1st contract with @GDIServices. Recently, this company issued lay-off notices & has been bringing in scab labour. Alarming working conditions described by frontline cleaning staff.

I was glad to share a petition in the Legislative Assembly calling for anti-scab legislation that prohibits the use of scab labour on behalf of striking Unifor 222 cleaners who are not getting a fair deal from their employer.
